CarMax is seeking candidates for a Front-Line Manager in Training in Palmdale, CA. The six-week program prepares you to lead within CarMax’s Service Operations, focusing on end-to-end production processes, inventory and repair workflows, and team leadership.

Successful graduates transition into Flow Mechanical, Flow Cosmetic, Flow Supply, Inventory, or Service Manager roles. The program emphasizes integrity, customer-first leadership, and operational excellence within a large national retailer

Qualifications

• Lead and manage teams to achieve operational goals.
• Strong data interpretation and record accuracy for process compliance.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with associates and customers.
• Proficiency in common and proprietary software systems.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments, including inclement weather.
• Willingness to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehension of training content throughout the program.
• Support execution of store procedures and operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Complete CarMax’s Management Development Program and apply leadership principles in real-world scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and meet production goals.
• Model CarMax values by fostering integrity, respect, and a customer-first mindset in all interactions.
• Prepare for transition into a leadership role, ensuring readiness to manage associates and drive performance.
• Responsible for the EH&S program for your department and/or location, including self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.
