Job summary

CarMax is launching a Front-Line Manager in Training six-week program within Service Operations to prepare associates for leadership roles. You will learn end-to-end production processes, including inventory management and cosmetic/mechanical repair, and build the skills to lead high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams to meet operational goals.
• Strong ability to interpret data for process compliance.
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with associates and customers.
• Proficiency with common and proprietary software systems.
• Valid driver’s license and comfort working indoors/outdoors, including weather.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with some travel.

• Support execution of store procedures and operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Complete CarMax's Management Development Program and apply leadership principles in real-world scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and meet production goals.
• Model CarMax values by fostering integrity, respect, and a customer-first mindset in all interactions.
• Prepare for transition into a leadership role, ensuring readiness to manage associates and drive performance.
• Responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program for your department and/or location, including self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.
