Job summary

United Ag & Turf, a John Deere dealership, seeks a Service Manager to lead the Service Department across multiple locations. You will develop processes, set goals, manage budgeting, and drive profitability while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include scheduling, staffing, coordinating clinics, processing warranty claims, and maintaining equipment readiness. This role requires strong communication, financial acumen, and willingness to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in Service Department operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
• Basic understanding of financial principles related to service operations.
• Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Creates annual Service Department goals and budget aligned with financial objectives.
• Develops and executes the Service Department marketing plan and tracks monthly results.
• Coordinates customer clinics, field days and related promotional events.
• Submits warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within required timeframes.
• Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to Service Department staff.
• Reviews work orders for accuracy before billing.
• Ensures all tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order.
• Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development for department staff.
