Job summary

Boyd CAT is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Pikeville, KY Branch Service Department, ensuring efficient operations and profitability while upholding the highest customer service standards.

The role requires proven management experience in the construction machinery sector, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to coach and develop staff. Occasional travel and driver’s license are required to support branch operations.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn, be trained, and coach.
• 5–7 years of management/supervision experience in business operations.
• 5–7 years of experience in the construction machinery industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of computers and spreadsheet/word processing programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, interpret and monitor operating procedures and results; identify inefficiencies and cost control deficiencies.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets and objectives for Service Department; implement action plans to meet standards.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints; administer service policy and warranty to minimize controversies.
• Travel to branches or other locations as required; maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ensure SMCS operations receive timely, cost-effective systems, procedures, training, and reports.
• Consult with the Service Management Team to solve technical problems and maintain quality service.
