Midwest Bus Sales is hiring a Service Operations Manager to lead the service department in Litchfield, Illinois. You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage technicians, and ensure on-time repairs while delivering quality customer service.

This role requires at least 5 years of service supervisory experience and 7 years as a heavy-duty technician, with strong leadership, scheduling, and cost-control skills. Monday–Friday schedule with some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service supervisory experience, including repair estimating.
• 7+ years of heavy-duty truck, equipment, and/or body shop technician experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; business degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead, hire, train, motivate, and evaluate service department employees; typically supervise six or more team members.
• Plan and prioritize technician workloads, repair schedules, productivity, and vehicle completion timelines.
• Review technician time records, efficiency reports, and service performance; provide weekly reporting.
• Set department goals, monitor expenses and profitability, and identify opportunities to grow service business.
• Meet with customers, prepare repair estimates, develop service relationships, and address concerns promptly.
• Oversee repair documentation, warranty claim processing, work-order closure, and final billing.
