Job summary

CarMax in Austin, TX is seeking a Service Operator to deliver exceptional customer service and keep service operations running smoothly. You’ll assist customers in person and by phone, support service processes before, during, and after repairs, and be the friendly point of contact that ensures seamless experiences.

The role emphasizes empathy, accurate data entry, and teamwork within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Accurate data entry and basic computer skills including spreadsheets.

• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle service calls with empathy and prompt responses.
• Support Service Consultants and Customer Advisors during interactions.
• Schedule service appointments and route inquiries.
• Send timely written messages to team members for follow-ups.
• Coordinate repair requests and notify customers about parts arrival.
• Audit sublet invoices, loaner logs, and dealer tags for compliance.
• Follow EH&S guidelines and keep a clean work area.
