Job summary

CarMax Business Services in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Service Operator to deliver exceptional customer service and keep the Service Department running smoothly. You will assist customers in person and over the phone and support service processes before, during, and after repairs, becoming the friendly, knowledgeable contact that ensures efficiency.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to schedule and route service calls, and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to all service calls with empathy.
• Assist Service Consultants and Customer Advisors with interactions as needed.
• Schedule service appointments and route calls and inquiries accurately.
• Deliver timely written messages to the appropriate team members for follow-up.
• Coordinate and schedule repair appointments and remind customers of upcoming visits; notify when parts arrive.
• Audit sublet invoices, loaner logs, and dealer tags per CarMax guidelines.
