Job summary

Independence Realty Trust Inc. is seeking a Service Manager to supervise a technicians team across plumbing, electrical and HVAC, ensuring timely repairs and strong resident service. You will work to build relationships with residents and staff in a fast-paced, stable setting.

You will collaborate with Community and Regional Managers to develop maintenance strategies, lead the service team, and manage work orders while maintaining budget discipline and strong resident relationships.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• EPA Type I and II certifications required; CPO preferred.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally; push/pull up to 200 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Community and Regional Managers on maintenance strategies.
• Lead, train, and support the service team to ensure top performance.
• Prioritize and delegate work orders for timely completion.
• Assist with troubleshooting and service requests.
• Ensure budget compliance while delivering resident satisfaction.
