Job summary

Independence Realty Trust Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to handle maintenance requests across our multi-family community. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs, conduct routine inspections, and prepare units for new residents. A focus on safety and resident satisfaction is required.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with on-call responsibilities and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or related fields.
• EPA I & II and CPO certifications preferred.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, and more.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and common areas for maintenance needs.
• Assist with apartment turns and unit preparation for new residents.
• Keep tools and maintenance areas organized and safe.
• Communicate with residents and team members to deliver great service.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed.
