Job summary

United Rentals seeks a Service Manager in Odessa, TX to lead a maintenance team and ensure equipment is properly repaired and maintained. You will work with the Branch Manager to build a profitable location and drive efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.

You’ll mentor technicians, manage R&M and P&L, and promote a culture of safety and accountability while delivering strong service metrics and cost controls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; trade-school degree a plus; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• 5 years of service/maintenance experience and minimum 3 years supervisory.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair processes.
• Staff location adequately based on skills and workload.
• Responsible for R&M, P&L and associated costs/budget.
• Lead, plan, measure and continuous improve service and maintenance performance metrics.
• Oversee parts department activities for optimal customer service and cost control.
• Evaluate performance and provide training and regular coaching.
• Promote safety and discipline through leadership and accountability.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to build a profitable location.
