Job summary

Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG in the United States seeks a Service Operations Manager to lead the service admin and shop technicians, ensuring rapid assignment of requests and driving productivity.

A strong mechanical background and ERP experience are essential, with hands-on troubleshooting and travel when needed. You will manage daily operations, optimize scheduling, and promote maintenance revenue while supporting remote customers and third-party providers.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background and practical experience with municipal equipment, tractors, sidewalk machines, or sweepers.
• Proven experience leading a service department, with team leadership, fleet management, and shop organization.
• High computer proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP Business One or Reynolds & Reynolds.
• Advanced diagnostic acumen and the ability to perform hands-on mechanical tasks as needed.
• Passport for travel and flexibility to work extended seasonal hours (Oct–Apr).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, shop scheduling, and workflow to ensure 95% of service requests are assigned within 24 hours.
• Lead, direct, and oversee the Service Admin and shop technicians, driving team productivity and ongoing training.
• Maintain a minimum 90% technician productivity rate and ensure accurate logged service hours in SAP Business One.
• Resolve escalated service calls, support remote customers, and collaborate with 3rd-party service providers.
• Capture non-warranty repair opportunities, upsell short-term rentals, and promote planned maintenance agreements to drive service revenue.

Job description

The salary range for this position is $88,000 – 100,00 DOE including bonus opportunity under the Karcher Incentive Program.

What you will do

• Manage daily operations, shop scheduling, and workflow to ensure 95% of service requests are assigned within 24 hours.
• Lead, direct, and oversee the Service Admin and shop technicians, driving team productivity and continuous technical training.
• Maintain a minimum 90% technician productivity rate and ensure accurate logged service hours in SAP Business One.
• Resolve escalated service calls, support remote customers, and collaborate with 3rd-party service providers.
• Capture non-warranty repair opportunities, upsell short-term rentals, and promote planned maintenance agreements to drive service revenue.

What you bring

• Strong mechanical background and technical experience with municipal equipment, tractors, sidewalk machines, or sweepers.
• Proven experience managing a service department, including team leadership, fleet management, and shop facility organization.
• High computer proficiency with experience in ERP systems such as SAP Business One or Reynolds & Reynolds.
• Advanced diagnostic acumen, logical reasoning, and physical ability to perform hands‑on mechanical tasks as needed.
• A valid passport for travel opportunities/training and flexibility to work extended seasonal hours (primarily Oct–Apr).
