Job summary

Interstate Power Systems in Altoona, IA is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our service operations, drive department performance, grow the business, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The Service Manager will oversee people, processes, and financial performance, champion safety, quote and price service work accurately, and coordinate service invoicing while promoting our Pride in Service culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of heavy-duty diesel equipment, components, and repair processes.
• Proven knowledge of customer service, sales, and marketing principles.
• Solid understanding of profit and loss statements and financial management.
• Self-starter with the ability to recognize strengths and develop strategic business plans.
• Experience with Lean / 5S principles.
• Prior experience as a Service Manager or Service Supervisor preferred.

Interstate Power Systems is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead operations at our Altoona Iowa facility. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving service department performance, growing the business, and delivering exceptional customer experience.

Position Summary

The Service Manager is a critical member of the management team and is fully accountable for the performance of the shop and service operations. This role oversees people, processes, financial performance, and customer satisfaction while promoting Interstate Power Systems' products and services. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, heavy-duty diesel knowledge, and a passion for operational excellence.
