Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Service Engineer Apprentice/Trainee for Syracuse, NY. You will participate in classroom, factory, and online training while shadowing experienced engineers on site to learn troubleshooting and repair tasks.

The program spans two years, progressing toward certification and promotion as a Service Engineer. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, mechanical/electrical aptitude, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel for training and customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic aptitude.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to support troubleshooting in service environments.
• Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally for training and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom, factory training, and online classes with 80%+ scores.
• Shadow Service Engineers on service calls and observe troubleshooting on customer sites.
• Assist during on-site calls by learning through observation and supporting tasks.
• Progress through a 2-year competency-based apprentice program toward certification.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and complete technical documents accurately.
