Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Service Engineer Apprentice/Trainee in Los Angeles, CA. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, repairing, installing, and relocating machinery while shadowing seasoned Service Engineers at customer sites.

You'll complete classroom, factory, and online training over a 2-year path toward certification and promotion, with travel for training and customer needs. Strong mechanical curiosity and professional communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic aptitude.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional communication to build positive customer relationships and coordinate with internal staff.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally with a valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom, factory training, and online courses with 80% or higher scores.
• Shadow Service Engineers on service calls by traveling with them to customer sites and learning through observation.
• Assist on customer calls while building hands-on capability to repair, install, and move machines.
• Progress through a competency-based apprentice program, enrolled for 2 years before certification and promotion to Service Engineer.
• Follow complex written and verbal instructions and complete required technical documents and reports in a timely manner.
