What You'll Do
- Customer Support: Provide technical support over the phone, in person, and/or via web to address hardware and software challenges.
- On-Site and Remote Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical problems related to Supermicro equipment in an enterprise environment, including conducting tests and simulations to assist with problem-solving.
- Service Excellence: Lead preventive maintenance actions, manage repair/parts cycle times, and handle L2 ticket escalations.
- Technical Support Coordination: Collaborate with resellers and distributors to provide 2nd-line support.
- Project Ownership: Take responsibility for customer maintenance tasks, manage time effectively, and prioritize service expectations.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new technologies and participate in required training and certification exams.
What You'll Bring
Essential Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience servicing complex X86 systems and parts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; or an Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with relevant experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency with Enterprise-grade server hardware.
- Hands-on experience in break/fix and on-site customer service.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to explain solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong diagnostic skills, including knowledge of BIOS, drivers, and how application loads impact system performance.
- Familiarity with Linux is preferred.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform extended periods of standing during troubleshooting.

Salary Range
$70,000 - $100,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
