Job Overview:
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating diagnostic imaging devices, specifically PET/CT and NucMed systems. You will also train medical and clinical staff on the safe use of equipment and perform quality assurance testing in collaboration with radiation physicists. This position reports to the Regional Service Manager and requires up to 80% travel. A company car, gas card, tools, laptop, and cell phone are provided.
Essential Duties:
Installation & Maintenance: Install imaging equipment, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
Training: Train medical and clinical staff on the safe use of equipment.
Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair imaging devices using diagnostic tools.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and adjustments.
Client Relations: Provide technical advice and service to customers.
Service Reporting: Submit service reports and expense reports on time.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all ISO13485 certification requirements and industry standards.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on imaging technology and participate in relevant educational programs.
On-call Service: Provide on-call service during evenings and weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience servicing PET-CT and/or NucMed equipment.
Education: Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field; military equivalency is also acceptable.
Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic systems; familiarity with diagnostic tools like digital multimeters and safety analyzers.
Technical Skills: Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of networking technology.
Customer Focus: Experience interacting with customers and solving technical issues.
Certifications: Compliance with customer certification requirements, including drug testing and vaccinations.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
