Job summary

Commercial Parts & Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Dispatcher in Dayton, OH. You will be the primary contact for incoming service requests, coordinating technician schedules and ensuring all details are gathered so technicians arrive prepared.

You will actively monitor calls, adjust priorities as needed, and communicate with customers and field teams to keep service moves on track. This is a non-call-center, real-time coordination role offering growth and stability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, dispatching, scheduling, administrative support, or related experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming service requests by phone and email.
• Prioritize service calls based on urgency, customer needs, and technician availability.
• Coordinate daily technician schedules and communicate assignments clearly.
• Gather accurate customer, location, and equipment information so technicians arrive prepared.
• Monitor service-call progress and adjust schedules or priorities as operational needs change.
• Communicate professionally and responsively with customers throughout the service process.
• Provide service updates and help manage customer expectations.
• Work with customers, technicians, and branch leadership to resolve scheduling and service issues.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and support continued business growth.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Process completed work orders promptly and accurately.
• Ensure information needed by technicians and other CPS team members is communicated clearly.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and follow through on outstanding service needs.
• Support technician productivity through effective scheduling and communication.
• Work collaboratively with technicians, office employees, and branch leadership.
