Job summary

Atlantic Staffing Consultants is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative / Service Dispatcher for a Raleigh, NC area client. This part-time, temp-to-hire role supports a busy plumbing, HVAC, and electrical service team.

The position requires coordinating technicians, scheduling service calls, and delivering exceptional customer service while managing orders and maintenance visits. This role is 30 hours per week, with pay between $18–$22 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in customer service or service dispatch.
• Experience with maintenance scheduling or service agreements preferred.
• Experience in plumbing/HVAC/electrical or home-service industry preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Proficient with scheduling software and CRMs.
• Detail-oriented and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming customer calls and respond to service requests professionally.
• Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate service technicians.
• Manage service calls from initial booking through completion.
• Coordinate maintenance agreements, preventive maintenance, and recurring service visits.
• Communicate appointment times, technician arrivals, and service updates to customers.
• Prioritize emergency and time-sensitive service requests.
• Maintain accurate work orders, customer records, and service notes.
• Follow up on open service calls, estimates, and customer concerns.
• Coordinate with technicians, service managers, and office staff.
• Help maximize technician productivity and minimize scheduling gaps.
