Gerhart is seeking a Service Dispatcher to join our team. The role focuses on scheduling and dispatching service technicians, maintaining clear communication with customers, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery.

Ideal candidates will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, industrial environment while lifting up to 20 lbs as needed and providing exceptional customer service.

• Monitor the progress of service jobs to ensure timely completion and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Coordinate with internal departments to provide resources and information for each service job.

Job Description

Candidates should have outstanding communication skills, be a self-motivator, with ability to work independently and efficiently in an industrial-type environment!

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Schedule and dispatch service technicians to customer sites based on service requests, urgency, and technician availability.
• Communicate with customers to confirm service appointments, provide updates, and address inquiries or concerns.
• Handle incoming phone calls.
• Monitor and track the progress of service jobs to ensure timely completion and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure necessary resources and information are provided to technicians for each service job; details include-location, equipment, custom instructions/notes, job details.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of service requests, technician assignments, and customer communications using scheduling systems.
• Manage multiple databases with accurate data.
• Analyze and optimize routes and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ability to lift up to 20lbs when assisting with miscellaneous duties.
• Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
