Job summary

CPI Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Skagit County, WA is seeking an experienced HVAC & Electrical Manager to lead our service and installation teams, driving operational excellence and profitability.

You will mentor Service Managers and technicians, focus on safety, quality, and customer experience, and partner with sales, dispatch, and operations to optimize scheduling and growth. A strong leadership track and knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing residential HVAC and/or Electrical operations.
• Proven success leading service and installation teams.
• Strong financial and operational acumen with experience managing budgets and KPIs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
• Experience recruiting, training, and developing high-performing teams.
• Customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems, electrical services, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the HVAC and Electrical departments.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Service Managers, Install Managers, technicians, and apprentices.
• Drive revenue growth while maintaining strong gross profit performance.
• Monitor KPIs including revenue, close rates, average ticket, productivity, callback percentage, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with sales, dispatch, customer service, and operations to maximize scheduling efficiency and customer experience.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top HVAC and Electrical talent.
• Conduct ride-alongs, performance coaching, and regular team meetings.
• Ensure all work complies with company standards, local codes, and regulations.
• Oversee inventory, fleet utilization, equipment, and departmental budgets.
• Foster a culture built on accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
