Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Service Coordinator in Bolingbrook, IL, to support smooth shift handoffs and department operations. You will coordinate training, supervise task assignment, and act as a subject-matter expert for market programs and development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum (includes curriculums for Cashier, Service Desk, and Courtesy Team)
• Ability to operate cash register system and all financial services equipment
• Good communication skills, friendly, customer oriented, organized, detail oriented, sense of urgency
• Has organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoff between shifts
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when the team leader or area leader is not present
• Coordinate and drive actions and activities involving the monitoring and control of shrink and financial business outcomes within areas of responsibility
• Proactively elevate concerns to leadership as they arise
• Champion participation in community programs
• Lead by example with behaviors and team member resource group (TMRG) engagement
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members in their span of care
• Perform on-the-job/hands-on team member training and mentoring
• Serve as subject matter expert for market programs, company pilots, and development/training programs
• Assign tasks to team members within the department, in partnership with the team leader, and follow up to ensure task completion
