Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a Service Coordinator to lead and support front-end operations, ensuring a high-quality customer shopping experience. You will coordinate checkout flow, maintain front-end cleanliness and standards, and assign work for cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members to meet productivity and service expectations.

Through active coaching, labor utilization, and customer issue resolution, you will drive customer satisfaction and operational accountability.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum.
• Ability to operate cash register system and financial services equipment.
• Good communication skills, friendly and customer oriented.
• Has organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoffs between shifts.
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when leadership is not present.
• Coordinate actions involving monitoring and control of shrink and financial outcomes within areas of responsibility.
• Champion participation in community programs and mentor team members.
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members in their span of care.
• Train and mentor team members on the job.
• Serve as subject matter expert for market programs and development training.
• Assign tasks to team members in partnership with the team leader and ensure completion.
