Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to lead front-end operations, coordinating checkout flow and ensuring a high-quality customer shopping experience at our Wisconsin stores.

You will guide cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members, assign tasks with leadership, and foster productive, service-oriented teamwork. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and hands-on training abilities to support store programs and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum (includes curriculums for Cashier, Service Desk, and Courtesy Team)
• Ability to operate cash register system and all financial services equipment
• Good communication skills, friendly, customer oriented, organized, detail oriented, sense of urgency
• Has organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoff between shifts
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when leadership not present
• Coordinate and drive actions involving monitoring and control of shrink and financial outcomes
• Proactively escalate concerns to leadership as they arise
• Lead by example with community programs and team member engagement
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members in their span of care
• Perform on-the-job training and mentoring for team members
• Assign tasks to team members in partnership with the team leader and ensure completion
