Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring a Service Coordinator to ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience by leading front-end operations, coordinating checkout flow, and guiding team members. You will train, assign tasks, monitor shrink and financial outcomes, and partner with leadership to maintain clean, efficient front-end areas.

Qualifications

Complete Service Coordinator training curricula for Cashier, Service Desk and Courtesy Team.
Ability to operate cash register system and all financial services equipment.
Strong communications, customer focus, organization and urgency are required.
Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Physical activity may include lifting, bending and standing as part of shifts.

Responsibilities

Lead front-end operations to ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience.
Coordinate checkout flow, maintain cleanliness and standards, assign tasks to cashiers and service desk staff.
Coach team members, monitor shrink and financial outcomes, and escalate concerns to leadership.
Train team members on care span and provide hands-on mentoring.
Represent market programs and participate in development/training initiatives.
