Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to lead front-end operations, coordinate checkout flow, and coach cashiers and service desk staff. You will ensure cleanliness, adherence to standards, and effective handoffs between shifts to maintain strong customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes proactive issue resolution, training delivery, and participation in market programs. This full-time position involves weekend availability and lifting requirements as part of daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum (includes curriculums for Cashier, Service Desk, and Courtesy Team)
• Ability to operate cash register system and all financial services equipment
• Good communication skills, friendly, customer oriented, organized, detail oriented, sense of urgency
• Has organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing

Responsibilities

• Lead and support front-end operations to ensure high-quality customer shopping experiences
• Coordinate checkout flow, front-end cleanliness and standards
• Assign tasks to cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members
• Coach team members for improved productivity and service
• Drive actions to monitor shrink and financial outcomes within areas of responsibility
• Escalate concerns to leadership when needed
• Provide training and mentoring for team members in care span
• Serve as SME for market programs, pilots, and training programs
