Job summary

Bayside Marine, by Seattle Boat Co., is looking for a Service Consultant. In this role, you will create work orders, schedule service appointments, and work with our technicians to keep customers updated on repairs.

Key requirements are being highly organized, thorough in communication, and have a knack for customer service. We offer incentives, PTO, health and dental insurance, 401K, and team events.

Responsibilities

• Provide stellar service to customers and be a team player.
• Build relationships with customers and earn trust in boats maintenance.
• Schedule mechanical and detail services, provide estimates, and obtain customer approval.
• Check in customers for drop off and pick up.
• Collaborate with technicians and parts staff to create accurate estimates and inform customers of further repairs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide stellar service to customers while being a great team player with co-workers
• Build relationships with all customers and earn their trust in maintaining their boats
• Schedule mechanical and detail services, including providing estimates and getting approval from customers
• Checking in customers for drop off and pick up
• Working with technicians and parts specialist to create accurate estimates, as well as updating the customer on any further repairs if needed

What We’re Looking For:

Required :

• Customer service experienc
• Basic computer skills
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic with the ability to take direction, learn, and delivery excellent results
• Eagerness to learn the customer database syste
• Ability to provide driving abstract and complete a background check

Preferred :

• POS System knowledg
• A love for boating and the PNW boating waterways
• Prior service department experience (automotive, marine, recreational, etc )
