Job summary

The Salvation Army Service Center in TOCCOA, GA is seeking a motivated supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of the center and thrift store. You will oversee staff and volunteers, handle donations, pricing, and store merchandising while ensuring service quality for clients.

Responsibilities include conducting client screenings, maintaining confidential case histories, and coordinating with leadership on operational improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years’ experience performing progressively responsible social service work with supervisory and bookkeeping responsibilities.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Center Director in planning, directing and participating in day‑to‑day operations of the Service Center and Thrift Store.
• Supervise and train staff and volunteers; conduct performance evaluations and ensure compliance with policies.
• Coordinate donations, pricing, and merchandising to maximize store sales and community service impact.
• Ensure security and accountability of funds, maintain records, and prepare daily deposits when needed.
• Interviews clients to determine needs and provide referrals; maintain confidentiality of case history files.
