Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Service Center Supervisor in TOCCOA, GA. The role focuses on planning and directing day-to-day Service Center and Thrift Store operations, supervising staff and volunteers, and ensuring efficient donation processing and pricing to maximize community service and store performance.

Responsibilities include supervising operations, training personnel, maintaining facilities, managing merchandising, and providing client referrals.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Two years’ experience performing progressively responsible social service work with supervisory and bookkeeping responsibilities.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising day-to-day operation of the Service Center and Thrift Store.
Supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff and volunteers; train and inspect work for policy compliance.
Coordinate cleanliness and maintenance of facilities and equipment; arrange contractor repairs when needed.
Receive and receipt donations; sort, stock, and price merchandise for sale optimization.
Prepare daily sales deposits in the absence of the director; ensure fund security and accountability.
Interview clients to assess needs and provide appropriate referrals.
