Job summary

Symphony Talent, LLC is seeking a hands-on Operations Leader to plan and direct freight operations, align with budget and service goals, and implement the service center’s plans in line with Ward’s standards. You will drive a culture of exceptional customer service and cost-conscious operations.

In this role, you will collaborate with Safety, Quality, Sales and HR, lead a management team, and ensure a customer-first environment while maintaining a non-union setting.

Qualifications

• Three to five years in motor carrier operations preferred.
• Proven supervision and management experience.
• Willingness to travel and work varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control freight operations.
• Create and update action steps on the service center PM database.
• Achieve KPIs such as Variable Attainment, Linehaul Miles per Stop, and Dock Bills per Hour.
• Coordinate with Safety and Quality departments to meet audits and standards.
• Lead local operations: pickup/delivery, dock, linehaul cut-times, staffing, maintenance and risk management.
• Support Operations and Sales across service center lines and participate in joint sales calls.
