Job summary

TForce Freight is seeking a Supervisor, Service Center to coordinate day-to-day operations at its service centers in the United States. The role analyzes productivity, service, and quality targets and collaborates with the Service Center management team to develop action plans that improve service level results.

The Supervisor oversees staff within the department. The position requires strong communication skills; a high school diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. (citizen or equivalent)
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong communication skills required
• Previous dock operations experience preferred
• Supervisory experience in transportation preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hiring and promotion decisions with other managers
• Ensure adherence to labor agreements and address grievances
• Participate in new hire orientation and conduct safety/quality training
• Determine training needs and provide feedback and support
• Conduct performance evaluations and address performance issues
• Build labor relations with labor officials and unionized employees
• Coach and develop staff using career development processes and tools
