Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a customer-focused team member to support the Service Department, driving sales across service labor, parts, tires, and fleet opportunities. You will assist in daily operations, help train service advisors, and ensure efficient store performance.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in automotive service, strong math and communication skills, and availability to work varying shifts including weekends. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in automotive service environment.
• One year of automotive service sales experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to apply basic math for commissions and discounts.
• Experience as a work lead or supervisor is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgement.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Capable of upselling and handling cash transactions.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist service team under Store Manager of Service to drive sales in service labor, parts, tires, and fleet business.
• Follow POS and transaction policies; manage inventory and OP procurement.
• Support customer care, work orders, register assistance, and merchandising in the service area.
• Coach service advisors on Pep Boys Customer Care Process and CVIs.
• Monitor shop productivity, workflow, and safety; help back shop operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers; act as supervisor when needed.
• Open/close store operations and handle key holder responsibilities.
