Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a customer-focused associate to engage with customers, sell parts and services, and maintain a smooth service desk and sales floor operation.

The role requires strong communication, basic math for commissions, and flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends. You will support technicians, handle transactions, and help ensure customer satisfaction at all touchpoints.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of related experience in automotive service or sales preferred.
• Basic math for calculating commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for customers in store and on phone; engage, assess needs, and sell parts and services.
• Process work orders and register transactions; maintain shop organization and product knowledge.
• Assist management with opening/closing, OP ordering, and customer care.
• Uphold cash, credit, refund policies; address service issues and opportunities.
• Perform express automotive services (tires, oil changes, inspections) and safety procedures.
