Description

The Service Attendant/Busser prepares and serves food items under the direction of the Cafe manager.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Pulls and wraps bread
2. Prepares food (soups, salads, desserts, beverages, wraps, pickles, etc.)
3. Stocks FOH
4. Prepares trays
5. Delivers food to guests
6. Cleans and maintains the dining room
7. Cleans and maintains the restrooms
8. Provides friendly service, takes appropriate action to guest requests, and refers to a manager when needed
9. Supports and promotes company initiatives
10. Secondary functions: Expo, Cashier, Dishwasher, Line Cook
11. Maintains abundant FOH displays and condiment stations
12. Checks bathrooms; performs additional cleaning duties as required
13. Busses tables
14. Prepares food to specifications and order requests
15. Ensures accurate cash flow and integrity of financial transactions when performing cashiering functions
16. Prepares and organizes food for delivery to guests

Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent or in pursuit of same
2. Must be able to complete CBC driver training, pass an MVR according to CBC standards, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance (now or when eligible to drive for CBC)
3. State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
4. Preferably a minimum of 3 months' work experience in a guest service capacity; restaurant or retail environment preferred
5. Strong guest service and communication skills
6. Organized and detail-oriented
7. Computer literate; proficient in POS systems
8. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
9. Proficient in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
