Description

The Service Attendant/Busser prepares and serves food items under the direction of the Cafe manager.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Pulls and wraps bread
• Prepares food (soups, salads, desserts, beverages, wraps, pickles, etc.)
• Stocks FOH
• Prepares trays
• Delivers food to guests
• Cleans and maintains the dining room
• Cleans and maintains the restrooms
• Smiles, friendly, takes appropriate action to guest requests; refers to manager when needed
• Supports and promotes company initiatives
• Secondary functions: Expo, Cashier, Dishwasher, Line Cook

Highlighted Tasks Include

• Maintains abundant FOH displays and condiment stations
• Checks bathrooms; additional cleaning duties as required
• Busses tables
• Prepares food to specifications and order requests
• Responsible for maintaining accurate cash flow and integrity of financial transactions when performing cashiering functions
• Prepares and organizes food for delivery to guests

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent or in pursuit of same
• Must be able to complete CBC driver training, pass an MVR according to CBC standards, and maintain a valid driver's license with insurance (now or when eligible to drive for CBC)
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
• Preferably a minimum of 3 months' work experience in a guest service capacity. Restaurant or retail environment preferred
• Possess strong guest service and communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Computer literate; proficient in use of POS systems
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be proficient in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
