Job summary

Allied Orion Group seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to prepare vacant apartment homes for move‑ins and ensure standards are met, with timely turnover. You will assist with pool maintenance and grounds keeping as needed, while handling repairs to make units ready for occupancy.

The role requires knowledge of hand and power tools, and the ability to read diagrams, meters, and instructions in English; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and state/local certifications may be

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for move‑in.
• Review the make‑ready board and follow directions from Community Manager/Maintenance Manager.
• Make repairs/replacements for unit to be occupied as per the make‑ready checklist.
• Apply touch‑ups and full paints to interior/exterior of apartment homes.
• Clean out all trash before, during, and after make‑ready activity.
• Inspect completed apartments and schedule follow‑up work before designating unit as Ready.

Job Summary

Responsibilities include preparation of vacant apartment homes for move‑ins and ensuring that established standards are met and apartments are timely turned. When needed, will assist with pool maintenance and grounds keeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for move‑in.
• Review the make‑ready board and take direction from the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager to determine action to be taken on apartment homes.
• Make all repairs/replacements necessary for unit to be occupied as outlined on the make‑ready checklist.
• Apply touch‑up and full‑paints as needed to interior and exterior of apartment homes.
• Clean out all trash from apartment homes before, during and after make‑ready activity.
• Inspect completed apartment homes and schedule any necessary follow‑up work before designating the unit as “Ready”.

Qualifications

Required Education and Training

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Training / Certificates / Association Memberships

• Certifications as required by State and Local Jurisdictions.

Knowledge, Specific and Abilities

• Must be skilled in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user‑moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• May be required to handle plumbing repairs, tile work, appliance repair, carpentry repairs, electrical repairs and all facets of apartment make ready.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical or other malfunctions and make repairs or correct problems.
• Must be able to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions and plans.
• Will interact with vendors, contractors, Clients and all levels of employees. Therefore, must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to read and write in English in order to read diagrams, meters, instructions, etc.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA Requirements, EEOC.
• Must supply own tools.
