Job summary

JOEY Restaurants in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Service Assistant to support the restaurant service team and maintain a world-class hospitality experience for guests. You will be on the go, ensuring smooth floor operations, assisting servers, and contributing to a clean, efficient dining environment.

The role requires a passion for hospitality, ability to stand/walk for long periods, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with friendly, attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Assist servers in delivering exceptional service and a pristine environment.
• Clear and set tables in a timely manner.

• Maintain restaurant cleanliness by bussing tables, glassware, dishes and cutlery.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with urgency, poise and good judgment.
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success.
• Assist guests with seating and front door duties as needed.
• Reinforce guest identification requirements and age restrictions for alcohol.

Wage Scale

$18.42 per hour. This position is eligible for tips.

Duties

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience. Show them what Iconic Hospitality means!
• Assistservers in delivering exceptional service and a pristine environmentfor our guests.
• Clear and set tablesin a timely manner.
• Monitor andassistwith the delivery of guest beverage and food orders.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant by bussing tables of glassware, dishes, and cutlery.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment. ItsYour Business.
• Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success. Stock, clean, and organize service stations and sections.
• Assisttheguestservicesteam with front door duties, seating guests, and other requests as needed.
• Reinforce guest identification requirements and age restrictions for alcohol salesin accordance withstate law.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• No experience necessary.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Be able towalk andstand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks;and liftand carryup to50lbs.
