JOEY Restaurants in Manhattan Beach is seeking a friendly Server who shares our passion for hospitality. You will anticipate guest needs, deliver a world-class dining experience, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of customer service experience.
• Valid local/state Food Handler certification; California RBS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive service throughout the dining experience.
• Navigate menu options and recommend beverages and food items.
• Input orders accurately in the POS system.
• Assist with beverage and food delivery to tables.
• Prepare final guest checks and process payments securely.
• Resolve issues and complaints with urgency and poise.
• Ensure ID checks and alcohol service in compliance with state law.

Wage Scale

$16.90 per hour. This position is eligible for tips.

Duties

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience. Show them what Iconic Hospitality means!
• Assistguests with navigating our menu options. Utilize your extensive menu knowledge to recommend favorite beverage andfooditems per relevant likes, dislikes, and dietary needs.
• Ensuretimelyandaccurateinput of orders in the point-of-sale system.
• Monitor andassistwith the delivery of guest beverage andfoodorders.
• Prepare final guest checksin a timely mannerand run payments safely and securely.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment.It’sYour Business.
• Reinforce guest identification requirements and age restrictions for alcohol salesin accordance withstate law.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• 1-3+ years customer serviceexperience(If you have high potential but less experience, we still want to meet you!).
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; and lift and carry up to 50lbs.
