Job summary

JOEY Restaurants in Houston is hiring a Service Assistant to support our dining room team and deliver a world-class hospitality experience. You’ll anticipate needs, stay on the move, and help create memorable guest moments through friendly, proactive service.

With no prior experience required, you’ll receive training on food safety and alcohol service, learn our standards, and grow with a team that values development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must have or be able to obtain local/ state Food Handler and Alcohol Server permits.
• Demonstrated passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating memorable experiences.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with friendly, attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Assist servers in delivering exceptional service and maintaining a pristine environment.
• Clear and set tables in a timely manner.
• Monitor and assist with delivery of beverages and food orders.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness by bussing glassware, dishes, and cutlery.
• Resolve guest issues with urgency and good judgment.
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties; stock and organize stations.
• Assist guests with seating and front door duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and safety procedures.

As aService Assistant, you support the success of your restaurant service team. Duties

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience. Show them what Iconic Hospitality means!
• Assistservers in delivering exceptional service and a pristine environmentfor our guests.
• Clear and set tablesin a timely manner.
• Monitor andassistwith the delivery of guest beverage and food orders.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant by bussing tables of glassware, dishes, and cutlery.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment.It’sYour Business.
• Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success. Stock, clean, and organize service stations and sections.
• Assisttheguestservicesteam with front door duties, seating guests, and other requests as needed.
• Reinforce guest identification requirements and age restrictions for alcohol salesin accordance withstate law.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• No experience necessary.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and Alcohol Server/Seller permits.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Be able towalk andstand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks;and liftand carryup to50lbs.
