Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level restaurant team member to support front-of-house operations in a fast-paced dining room. You will learn menu details, assist guests, and help keep the dining area clean and organized.

This role offers opportunities to develop customer-service skills, work with a collaborative team, and support opening and closing duties, including setting and resetting the dining space.

Flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages accurately, with an understanding of menu details
• Assist with guest needs and relay questions or concerns to the appropriate team member
• Clear and reset tables within 3 minutes of guest departure
• Assist with packaging takeout orders
• Maintain awareness of the dining room and proactively assist where needed
• Keep kitchen expo areas, service stations, and dining room clean and organized
• Polish and restock silverware, glassware, and plateware throughout the shift
• Monitor and remove trash and recycling regularly
• Ensure safe and clear walkways for guests and staff
• Memorize table and seat numbers to aid efficient service
• Learn menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols
• Communicate guest concerns clearly to team leads
• Assist front-of-house staff during high-volume periods
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting/resetting the dining room
