Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level restaurant associate to deliver food and beverages, assist guests, and maintain a clean dining environment in Westport, CT. The role supports both front-of-house and takeout operations, requiring strong communication and a positive team mindset.

Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and able to work mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed. Physical stamina to stand/walk for extended periods is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages accurately, with knowledge of menu details.
• Assist guests and relay questions or concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Clear and reset tables within 3 minutes of guest departure.
• Assist with packing takeout orders.
• Maintain awareness of the dining room and proactively assist where needed.
• Keep kitchen expo areas, service stations, and dining room clean and organized.
• Polish and restock silverware, glassware, and plateware throughout the shift.
• Monitor and remove trash and recycling regularly.
• Ensure safe and clear walkways for guests and staff at all times.
• Memorize table and seat numbers to aid in efficient service.
• Learn menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols.
• Communicate guest concerns clearly to team leads.
• Assist FOH staff during high-volume periods.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting/resetting the dining room.
