Job summary

Dyer & Dyer Volvo, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is hiring a Service Advisor to join our service team. You will schedule appointments, greet customers, and provide precise labor and parts estimates while keeping customers informed of progress and any changes.

Ideal candidates have two years of Service Advisor experience, solid vehicle knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Compliance with safety and pre-employment checks is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of Service Advisor experience.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must pass pre-employment testing: background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer/vehicle data.
• Greets customers in a friendly, timely manner.
• Provides written cost estimates for labor and parts; establishes promised time.
• Monitors repair progress; communicates changes and obtains authorization for additional work.
• Test-drives or refers vehicle to test technician as needed.
• Maintain CSI at or above manufacturer/branch average.
• Advise customers on car care per manufacturer specs.
