McGrath Family of Dealerships in Dubuque, IA, is seeking a customer‑focused Service Advisor/Service Writer to join the Dubuque Volkswagen service team. You will be the link between customers and technicians, explaining service needs and managing repair orders for a seamless experience.

You’ll greet customers, document concerns, present estimates, and coordinate workflow to ensure timely, quality repairs. A background in automotive service or customer-facing sales is preferred.

Competenze

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, dealership, sales, or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable discussing and recommending automotive services and repairs with customers.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple customers and repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organization, follow-through, and time management skills.

• Positive, professional attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable learning dealership software and automotive service processes.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Dubuque Volkswagen is growing our service team and looking for a customer‑focused Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our fast‑paced service department in Dubuque.

As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the connection between our customers and technicians, helping customers understand their vehicle’s service needs, keeping them informed throughout the repair process, and making sure they receive an exceptional experience from start to finish.
