Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, coordinate repair requests and estimate costs within guidelines. You will support the Service Manager with warranty documentation, file repair orders, and schedule work with foremen to optimize shop throughput.

Ideal candidates have CDL (preferred), at least four years in a related field, solid computer skills, and strong customer relations and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in related field.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Strong customer relations and communication skills.
• Good leadership abilities.
• Must have a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers openly and coordinate repair requests with Service Manager and Foremen.
• Estimate cost of repairs within set guidelines.
• Assist Service Manager with warranty documentation and repair order filing.
• Coordinate repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment.
• Advise customers of needed service work and suggest additional labor/parts.
• Maintain and administer shop tool and supply requirements and status.
• Inform Service Manager of customer complaints so they can be addressed before vehicle leaves the shop.
• Participate in training to stay current on technical and warranty issues.
• Assist in maintaining a clean shop and office area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
