Job summary

CDJR of Santa Barbara is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to serve as the main contact between customers and the Service Department in Santa Barbara. You will guide customers through maintenance and repair options, prepare estimates, and keep clients informed throughout the service process.

The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced dealership

Qualifications

• Experience in an automotive service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and establish rapport for service visits.
• Gather accurate customer and vehicle information; document concerns clearly.
• Explain symptoms to technicians and help translate repair needs.
• Prepare estimates for labor, parts, and services; update customers on progress.
• Coordinate with technicians and arrange loaner vehicles when needed.
• Ensure accuracy of repair orders and charges; review with customers at delivery.

Service Advisor - CDJR of Santa Barbara

Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Santa Barbara is looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our team! Located in beautiful Santa Barbara, we are committed to providing our customers with exceptional service and a positive dealership experience.

As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and our Service Department. You will help customers understand their vehicle’s maintenance and repair needs, coordinate with technicians, prepare accurate repair orders and estimates, and keep customers informed throughout the service process. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by delivering an outstanding customer experience.

• Greet customers promptly and professionally and establish a positive rapport
• Obtain accurate customer and vehicle information and document concerns clearly
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately communicate vehicle symptoms to technicians
• Recommend maintenance and repairs based on vehicle age, mileage, manufacturer recommendations, and service history
• Prepare accurate estimates for labor, parts, and recommended services
• Establish clear expectations and follow-up times with customers
• Monitor the progress of vehicles throughout the service process and provide timely updates
• Communicate additional repair recommendations and obtain customer authorization when necessary
• Coordinate loaner vehicles and rental transportation when applicable
• Review repair orders to ensure completed work, labor, parts, and charges are accurate
• Explain completed repairs and charges clearly to customers at vehicle delivery
• Address customer questions and concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all service documentation is complete
• Take ownership of the customer experience and consistently look for opportunities to exceed expectations
