Pundmann Ford is seeking an energetic Service Advisor to join our busy Service Center in St. Charles, MO.

You will be the liaison between customers and technicians, translating needs into clear recommendations and scheduling follow-through. With 1–3+ years of automotive service experience and Ford know-how, you will drive outstanding customer care, upsell maintenance when appropriate, and help our team deliver quality repairs on time.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience as a Service Advisor or similar automotive role.
• Ford experience is a MUST HAVE.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, routine maintenance and repairs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with dealership management software (Reynolds & Reynolds).
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, set expectations for service completion.
• Document customer concerns and vehicle symptoms, input repair orders.
• Clearly explain diagnostic results, estimates, and repair timelines.
• Upsell preventative maintenance services and required repairs.
• Track vehicle status, ensure parts are ordered promptly, update customers on price/timeline changes.
• Review completed invoices with customers and explain warranty/work performed.

We are looking for an energetic, dynamic, and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor with Ford experience to fill an immediate opening in our Service Center located at 2727 West Clay St. in St. Charles, MO.

Our Service Advisors are the face of our Service Center, which handles a high volume of repair orders. You will serve as the primary liaison between our customers and our service technicians, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to vehicle pickup. Your goal is to deliver outstanding customer service, translate technical vehicle needs into plain language, and recommend necessary maintenance to keep our customers safe on the road.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers promptly and professionally, listen to their vehicle concerns, and set realistic expectations for service completion times.
• Service Consulting: Perform vehicle walk-arounds, accurately document customer complaints and vehicle symptoms, and input repair orders into the management system.
• Communication: Serve as the main bridge between technicians and customers; clearly explain diagnostic results, technical recommendations, estimates, and repair timelines.
• Sales & Recommendations: Upsell preventative maintenance services and required repairs based on manufacturer guidelines and technician recommendations.
• Workflow Management: Track the status of vehicles throughout the day, ensure parts are ordered promptly, and keep customers updated on any price or timeline adjustments.
• Final Delivery: Review completed invoices with customers, answer any questions regarding warranty or work performed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1–3+ years of experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a similar customer-facing automotive role preferred. Ford experience is a MUST HAVE.
• Technical Aptitude: Strong general understanding of automotive systems, routine maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build quick rapport with clients.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds or other dealership management software (DMS) is a plus.
• Organization: Outstanding multitasking, time-management, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Requirements: Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; high school diploma or equivalent.

• - Full-time – Monday through Friday. Hours/Schedule TBD
• - Hourly Pay Rate will be commensurate upon skill and experience. Monthly Bonus opportunities available.
