Job summary

Cochran Cars in Pittsburgh is seeking a Service Advisor to own the customer experience in the service lane. You will greet vehicle owners, explain the repair process, and schedule service using our system to ensure timely, courteous service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee flow of Drive Lane and ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Take ownership of the customer experience by completing additional tasks for a positive impression.
• Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, in person or by phone.
• Schedule service appointments using the available system.
• Obtain customer history and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain vehicle information.
• Document customer’s vehicle needs clearly on repair order.
• Inspect vehicle for damage and other needs.
• Advise customers on proper vehicle care per manufacturer specifications.
• Review Multi‑Point Inspection and obtain authorization.
• Inform customers of progress and any changes in estimates or time and obtain proper authorization before additional repairs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee flow of Drive Lane. Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
• Take ownership of the customer's experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer.
• Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person.
• Schedules service appointments utilizing the available scheduling system properly.
• Obtains customer history and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
• Documents customer’s vehicle needs accurately and clearly on repair order.
• Inspects vehicle for damage and other needs.
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Review Multi‑Point Inspection format and ask for authorization.
• Checks on progress towards completion. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
