Job summary

Servco Pacific Inc. in Kailua, Hawaii, invites you to join Servco Toyota Kona as a Service Consultant who welcomes customers and guides them through service options.

You will liaise between technicians and customers, estimate costs, book repairs, and keep customers informed of progress; prior experience in sales or customer service and a valid driver's license are preferred. The role offers a base monthly pay with commission and a path to grow in a busy, customer‑facing automotive service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of sales or customer service experience.
• Strong communication and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and determine which vehicle services are needed.
• Serve as liaison between technicians and customers to explain work required.
• Review vehicle records and inspect vehicle to assess additional services.
• Provide accurate cost and time estimates and obtain customer approval.
• Monitor service status and keep the customer informed.
• Book and close repair orders in a timely manner.
• Arrange loaner vehicles if needed.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts and schedule return visits.
• Verify all requested items are completed and payment is made before return.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and determine which vehicle services are needed
• Work as a liaison between our technicians and customers to provide them an understanding of the work that needs to be completed on their vehicle
• Inspect customer vehicle records and sight inspect vehicle to assess if additional services are needed
• Provide accurate cost and time estimates and obtain customer's approval
• Monitor status of vehicle service/repair and keep customer informed
• Book and close repair orders on a timely basis
• Arrange for customer loaner vehicles if needed
• Follow-up on back ordered parts and contact customer to schedule return appointment
• Check to ensure all items the customer requested was completed and payment is made before returning the vehicle to the customer

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum one year of sales or customer service experience
• General mechanical knowledge gained either through work experience or education
• Strong communication and customer relations skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Valid driver's license and strong driving record
• Auto dealership service writing experience preferred

Service Consultants receive a $2000 a month guaranteed base salary and a competitive incentive program. We also compensate our Service Consultants who receive strong customer service scores.
