Job summary

Lithia & Driveway, a leading automotive retailer, is seeking a Service Advisor to initiate services, assess vehicle issues, and manage repair orders. You will act as the liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring clarity on recommended services and warranty coverage.

A focus on exemplary customer service and basic automotive understanding is essential, with an acceptable driving record and valid license.

Qualifications

• Previous Service Advisor experience, preferred.
• Prior experience as an automotive technician a plus.
• A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verify warranty coverage.
• Develop estimates; write repair orders and maintain customer records.
• Serve as the communicator between the customer and technician; ensure customer needs are understood by the technician.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate customer payments, including deductibles.
• Prepare repair orders (RO), obtain approvals, and enter RO into the service database system.
• Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
• Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
• Keep customers informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.
