Job summary

Chevrolet GMC of Fairbanks seeks a customer-focused Service Advisor to join our service team. You will be the primary contact for service customers, delivering an exceptional ownership experience while identifying opportunities to recommend needed maintenance and repairs.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of experience, strong communication and sales skills, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Automotive knowledge and ADP experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a service advisory or related role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to customers clearly.
• Comfortable using dealership software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and greet customers following established procedures.
• Build positive customer relationships by identifying concerns and needs.
• Conduct vehicle walk-arounds to evaluate service requirements and suggest maintenance.
• Communicate service recommendations, costs, timelines, and completion dates to customers.
• Secure customer approval for services and repairs.
• Prepare repair orders and service documentation using the ADP system.
• Coordinate repair activities by dispatching work to technicians and tracking progress.
• Provide status updates throughout the repair process and ensure timely vehicle delivery.
• Process customer payments and support a seamless Sales-to-Service experience.
