Full job description

Job Summary

As a Server Team Member, you’ll create a welcoming dining experience by guiding guests through the menu, taking accurate orders, and delivering food and beverages with care. You’ll coordinate with kitchen and service teammates, process transactions, and keep your work area clean and safe. Your impact: Attentive service and accurate orders help guests enjoy their visit and help the team deliver smooth, reliable service. We are looking for someone who is quick on their feet, have problem solving abilities, and resilient through fast environments.

Scheduling hours look something like the below:

• Lunch shifts: 10:55am – 2:00 or 2:30pm
• Dinner shifts: 5:00pm – 8:30pm

Start and end times may change as per the business as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, answer menu questions, take orders, and provide attentive guest relations throughout the meal.
• Serve food and beverages; communicate special requests clearly to the kitchen and correctly entering the items into the POS sytem
• Recommend menu items help guide customers on ordering
• Process sales transactions, including cash and card payments, and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Follow food safety, food handling, and sanitation practices; maintain clean service areas and support food preparation as needed.
• Closing responsibilities include making sure the floor and wait room are tidy and clean, set up the tables for next work day, refill all sauces and restock beverage container, etc.
• Server Team Member roles and hours are subject to changes as per the business needs.

Skills

• Essential: Customer service, serving, beverage and drink service, guest services, hospitality, time management, basic math, cash handling, cashiering, and sales transaction processing.
• Essential: Food service or restaurant experience, preferably in Japanese food, with knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Preferred: food handling certification
• Preferred: Processing our delivery service orders through the tablets for UberEats, DoorDash, and GrubHub.
• Preferred: Alcohol handling certification

Pay & Benefits

• $20.00 per hour and shared tips for each shift
• Break meal is provided for employees

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
